The Search for Cures: How Pfizer Medicines Get from the Laboratory to You

In Drug Safety R&D (DSRD), our teams work to ensure the safety, effectiveness and affordability of drug candidates. While Discovery is still working on a drug candidate, our toxicologists, biologists, chemists and others investigate its safety and tolerance to determine whether it should remain in development.

The principle mission of Drug Safety is to define the toxic potential of chemicals to the extent necessary and desirable for assessing the risk to man under intended use conditions. In addition, Drug Safety participates in the selection of chemicals to be nominated for development. The Drug Safety group must prepare reports, which in content and format meet worldwide regulatory requirements. Drug Safety also participates in the public forum's where new views of toxicology and safety evaluation develop.

We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from people with different experiences, backgrounds and ethnic origins.
